Maximize your Educational Talent

Last night I had the privilege of addressing he Anne Arundel Community College Educational Talent Search program students, parents and staff last night in Glen Burnie Maryland.  GREAT GROUP of people.  Our future looks good!  Support and connect with your local Trio Program.

Trio Progams help students who are either first generation college graduates, meet financial need levels or meet other special conditions to finish high school, attend and graduate from college and even attend graduate school (Image from greeting card by my daughter Chelsea). Services can include tutoring, career advising, college and graduate school information and application assistance.

There are specific programs based on your age and needs.  Programs services are provided in communities, in high schools and in colleges.  For a Trio Program in your area or more information leave a comment below or at http://www.motivision.net/page3.html where you can sign up for my enewsletter.

College Credits Fast and Cheap

Remember the College Level Examination Program (CLEP)and earn credits just by passing exams.  For a list of courses you can visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html or if you go to your college website and type clep in the search box.

If you have college credit and you have spent time in the work world you may be able to obtain Credit for Life Experience.  Contact the institution of interest and inquire. Compare what they tell to what institutions like the University Of Maryland University College have to offer (UMUC).  UMUC has positioned itself with the returning adult learner in mind offering online, evening and weekend courses in abundance if not entirely.  Now it is more convenient to get that degree if you really want it.  So, who wants it?
