Go after it! There are many ways toward balancing the college budget

More resources are listed here to help you pay for school.  Visit the federal governments student aid page and click on the various links.  The direct link to the grants is long so I created this using tinyurl.com: http://tinyurl.com/collegegrants. Shortly after I learned how to just reference a link for you.  At times I'll just lay it out.

This part of the post highlights 6 grant categories including institutional grants

Also http://www.fastweb.com/ is a commercial resource that sends information to your email when you register.  Below is an adaptation of just one lead they sent for my daughter that is in her 3rd yr in college.

The National SMART Grant is available to full-time undergraduate students in their third or fourth year of study who have received the Federal Pell Grant. You must be majoring in physical, life or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering or a foreign language determined critical to national security. You must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award.  I know how it feels sometimes looking for money for college.
If you want to get information without giving your email or personal information I have found http://www.scholarsite.com to be useful.  When I have one there I have seen an ad on the first page and had no problem skipping it. Thnik of the process of finding funding to be like the movie National Treasure. See the trailer on youtube.com  Enjoy the process.  Have fun with it.
